Description
The Implementation/Integrations Engineer will be responsible for delivering projects, from beginning to end, working with the customer’s system and related products. Projects include new customer implementations, enhancements to existing customers’ business logic, and adding custom applications or components that tie in to aspects of the company’s Shipping System. Integrations Engineers also act as Level 2 Support. In addition, Integrations Engineers may be asked to perform some tasks as part of Product Development projects.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
·Consult on, design, integrate, and launch company’s software solutions either remotely or on-site for customers.
·Meet with and/or communicate with customers for information and clarification on project scope and deliverables.
·Design and develop all business rules, database communications, host system integration in the company’s software solution.
·Design, develop, and support custom applications and interfaces.
·Create databases, tables, stored procedures, etc. in SQL Server (2005-2014) to support the software solution or custom application/interface.
·Install and configure company software.
·Assist Service Desk with escalated issues as a Level 2 technician, and also quickly determine if an issue needs to be escalated to Product Development.
·Assist with designing and/or developing Product Development projects.
Prerequisites
·Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.
·Proficiency in working with all Microsoft Windows & Windows Server environments (2003-2012), Microsoft IIS, all Microsoft Office applications, Microsoft SQL Server, basic to intermediate networking architecture, and VPN and remote connectivity software.
·Proficiency in designing, developing, analyzing, and supporting VB 6, VB Script, VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET using Microsoft Visual Studio. ZPL II is a plus.
·Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
·Able to travel both locally (driving distance) or nationally (0% to 10% annually).
·Able to communicate effectively with customers from different backgrounds (end users, IT technicians, managers, and executives) with a friendly and professional demeanor. Previous customer service experience is required.
·Familiarity with WMS, TMS, or ERP systems is very helpful.
