System Administrator

 
The System Administrator is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations and of our clients servers, network devices and workstations.  They are responsible for ensuring timely and accurate resolution to incidents related to the customer environments and providing courteous and professional customer service.  They are also responsible for maintaining accurate ticket notes and updating documentation regarding to issue resolution
 

Responsibilities and Duties
 
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot LAN and WAN network devices
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot Internet access and security appliances
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot remote and wireless access
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot Hyper-V or other virtualization platforms
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot remote desktop environments such as Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot disaster recovery platforms and software
  • Manage, support and troubleshoot IaaS platforms such as hosted servers, email and content filtering
  • Communicate with customers and managers in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation


 
Qualifications and Skills
 
  • Knowledge of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking
  • Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT/PAT and various content filtering and network access control technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems as well as Office 2013/ 2016/O365
  • Experience supporting various remote access technologies and products such as VPN, Citrix, and MS Remote Desktop
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Meraki environments, PowerShell and other managed service tools
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and NIST standards preferred


 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree, equivalent technical certification or experience demonstrating the skillset described above
  • A solid and well thought out diagnostic mindset
  • Strong problem solving and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities
  • The ability to organize and manage your own workload independently
